From innovation to impact – our project portfolio

MissionGreenFuels supports a portfolio of projects across the green fuels value chain — from early-stage research to demonstration and deployment. Together, these projects contribute to accelerating the development, scaling, and real-world implementation of green fuels.

Our contribution to the mission

The MissionGreenFuels project portfolio is part of a broader mission-driven partnership

MissionGreenFuels’ project portfolio is part of a broader ecosystem working towards the integration of sustainable fuels in transport and industry before 2050. Within this ecosystem, the MissionGreenFuels partnership brings together stakeholders, activities, and initiatives that together support the transition - from research and innovation to real-world implementation.

At the core of this work is the project portfolio. Through targeted funding calls, MissionGreenFuels selects projects that directly contribute to the mission and align with the roadmap’s priorities. These projects represent the most tangible part of the mission’s work, translating strategic direction into concrete solutions across the green fuels value chain.

The portfolio spans the entire green fuels value chain - from technology development and fuel production to infrastructure, system integration, and end-use in sectors such as shipping, aviation, and industry.

The portfolio is not a collection of isolated projects, but a coordinated effort where collaboration and knowledge sharing are essential. The portfolio projects are expected to actively contribute to the partnership by sharing learnings and results, engaging in joint activities, and building on each other’s insights. By connecting actors across industry, research institutions, and public authorities, individual projects are turned into collective impact - accelerating the deployment of green fuels across the ecosystem.
